Program Description
It is the purpose of the Bachelor of Music Education degree with Instrumental Certification to provide students with
a comprehensive music program of study where they will have the opportunity to develop their creative and musical
potentials; acquire skills in and expand their knowledge of performance, musicianship, analysis and synthesis; and to
prepare them for a career in music education or for advanced study in music. This degree program leads to certification
as a PK-12 elementary, band or orchestral music educator.
