MINOR-MUSC - Minor-Music

The minor in music consists of 20 semester hours of music courses (MUSA and MUST):

• MUST 111 (3) Music Theory I 

• MUST 112 (3) Music Theory II 

• MUST 113 (1) Aural Skills I 

• MUST 114 (1) Aural Skills II  (111 and 113 are to be taken together; 112 and 114 together) 

• MUST 305 (3) History of Music to 1750 

• MUST 306 (3) History of Music from 1750-1900 
  

• 2 semesters (2 credits) of major ensemble credit (MUSA 151, 152, 156, 157 or 161)  

• 4 semesters (4 credits) of private instruction in one instrument
   

Music minors must demonstrate a proficiency in an an instrument or voice. Potential music minors must schedule a meeting with the Chair of the Department of Music prior to declaring a minor in music.
