Free Form Requirements

The minor in Drawing, Painting, and/or Printmaking consists of  15 semester hours:

  • ARTS 101 (3) 2D Design

  • ARTS 120 (3) Drawing I  OR ARTS 281 (3) Digital Studio

  • ARTS 206

 9 credits of electives from the following list (At least one course must be on the intermediate level):

  • ARTS 320 (3) 2D Media Studies

  • ARTS 420 (3) Intermediate Drawing

  • ARTS 520 (3) Advanced Drawing

  • ARTS 342 (3) Introduction to Painting 

  • ARTS 442 (3) Intermediate Painting

  • ARTS 542 (3) Advanced Painting

  • ARTS 335 (3) Screenprint 

  • ARTS 336 (3) Relief Printmaking

  • ARTS 337 (3) Intaglio Printmaking 

  • ARTS 436 (3) Intermediate Printmaking

  • ARTS 536 (3) Advanced Printmaking

  • Special Topics in Art. 

Students are encouraged to complete ARTH 175 and ARTH 176 to complete General Education requirements.

All elective courses require 12 earned hours or they have prerequisites among courses listed in the curriculum above.
