MINOR-CYBR - Minor in Cyber Security

The minor in Cyber Security consists of 18 semester hours:

CSCI 207** Intro Comp Science I  (4)

CSCI 208**  Comp Science II  (4)

CSCI 210** Programming Tools (1)

CSCI 224 Foundation Principals of Cyber  (3)

CSCI 324  Enterprise Sys Admin & Security (3)

 AND one of the following: 

CSCI 421 Cyber Forensics (3) 

CSCI 424 Ethical Hacking (3) 

CSCI 469 Cloud Computing (3) 

 The following prerequisites are not included in the minor requirements.  CSCI 207 requires MATH 151, or MATH 101, or a MATH course that has MATH 101 or MATH 151 as a prerequisite, or math placement score sufficient to place into MATH 201.  CSCI 208 requires at least one of MATH 101, MATH 201, MATH 261, MATH 300, BSAN 205 or QMTH 205.    CSCI 469 requires CSCI 271 or 3 hours in CSCI 299 or greater, except CSCI 327/329.  CSCI 453 requires 3 hours in CSCI 299 or greater, except CSCI 327/329. Students are encouraged to take CSCI 210 and 208 concurrently. 

**CSCI207, CSCI208, and CSCI210 are required in the computer science major. C- or better required for CSCI 207.
